Jacob loves his scooter, and he loves to ride it while I watch him whenever I am off work. But because he has a habit of paying attention to everything but what is in front of him, I insist that he wear a helmet when he rides it. And he fights it every time. He has two different bike-type helmets that he usually picks from. But this weekend, he didn't want either one. And he wasn't about to give in. Instead, he insisted on wearing his A&M football helmet. It is a kid's play helmet, so it is very doubtful that this particular helmet is safety-approved by whatever government entity approves such things. But, hey, it will at least soften the blow of head hitting concrete a little. Right? Right?

Can't imagine where that stubborn streak came from?!
