What should have been a fun-because-someone-has-a-birthday week has been a how-long-until-his-next-dose-of-medicine week.
Last Saturday, Jacob started running a low fever. It was a little worse on Sunday but seemed to be getting better on Monday. Until 5pm, of course, when he said his throat hurt and I saw the dreaded white stuff in there. So, for his 5th birthday on Tuesday, his first gift of the day was a positive strep test!! Followed by some antibiotics. He's definitely better now and should be (fingers crossed) perfect for his party on Saturday.
We were up bright and early one morning (probably for another dose of medicine) and could hear a strange sound. This hot air balloon was so close to our house. I know it doesn't look that close in the picture but it was!
Hannah refuses to leave Jacob alone when he's sick. I just hope she doesn't start running a fever, like Saturday morning...
By Wednesday night, he finally ate a little dinner and was feeling up to an ice cream. So, he got one!
One of his (many) birthday presents was a bathtub shaving kit. He wanted it so badly so he could pretend to shave "just like Daddy"! Hannah just does whatever Jacob does...
